Hi, I’m Joe Capello and welcome to Capello Jewelry. In 2023 I lived in and traveled all over Italy for a year as I went to visit my grandparents. As a lover of Ancient History this was a dream for me to be able to explore Italy at free will, as Italy has one of the most ancient and historic countries in the world.
As I was at the Magna Grecia (Greater Greece) museum in southern Italy where my parents are from, I was in awe at the beauty the Ancient Greeks were able to create over 2,000 years ago. Walking through the museum I stumbled across the “Meander pattern” and was completely enamored by it for some reason. I thought it looked so cool and fit the Greek aesthetic perfectly.
Thus the idea of “Capello Jewelry” was born. ‘Create ancient symbolism as modern Jewelry’. I envisioned the Meander symbol as a gold pendant on a woman wearing a black dress and thought it looked great in my head. Add to the fact that the Meander has meaning to it, along with many other Ancient symbols I knew I had something special in my hands.

With all the chaos and wars happening in the world right now, we are pledging 2% of each piece sold to the prevention of destruction, damage and theft of cultural property during armed conflict and natural disasters. We believe it’s important to preserve history of the past, and current cultural property for future preservation.
