Letter From Joe

Hi, I’m Joe Capello and welcome to Capello Jewelry. In 2023 I lived in and traveled all over Italy for a year as I went to visit my grandparents. As a lover of Ancient History this was a dream for me to be able to explore Italy at free will, as Italy is one of the most ancient and historic countries in the world.

As I was at the Magna Grecia (Greater Greece) museum in Southern Italy where my parents are from, I was in awe at the beauty the Ancient Greeks were able to create over 2,000 years ago. Walking through the museum I stumbled across the “Meander pattern” and was completely enamored by it for some reason. I thought it looked so cool and fit the Greek aesthetic perfectly.

Thus the idea of “Capello Jewelry” was born. ‘Create ancient symbolism as modern Jewelry’. I envisioned the Meander symbol as a gold pendant on a woman wearing a black dress and thought it looked great in my head. Add to the fact that the Meander has meaning to it, along with many other Ancient symbols I knew I had something special in my hands.
